The bf’s little cousin Katie turned five this past week. In celebration, a group of little princesses took over the Art Room in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn for an afternoon of painting, drawing, and some rainbow food feasting fit for Princess Aurora. With a clear No Boys Allowed! Because they can’t be princessess! Little brother Henry, and the bf were relegated to in the front room of the Brooklyn art studio to play.

I baked the supercolorful rainbow cake and assembled it onsite to go along with the rest of the rainbow-and-art-themed food: bowls of M&M, color-sugar encrusted oreo cookies; frosted fruit loops and multicolored goldfish crackers; and the printer palette topped cupcakes. And of course the party flavors of art supplies and slap bracelets.

A colorful way to cheer up a a dreary rainy Sunday afternoon!
